Configuring your firewall

If using Mac OS X Tiger and your Mac's firewall is enabled a new firewall rule is needed to allow your iPhone or iPod touch to communicate with Signal on your computer.

To set the firewall rule:

  1. Open System Preferences, click Sharing, then click Firewall.
  2. Click New, then select Other from the Port Name drop-down.
  3. Enter 3569 in TCP Port Numbers, Signal in the Description, then click OK.

If using Mac OS X Leopard and your Mac's firewall is enabled Leopard should automatically prompt you to allow Signal access to the network the first time it is run.
